Growing up in a small immigrant town taught me the value of cultural heritage, history and tradition. New Ulm, Minnesota, was founded by German immigrants in the mid1800's. In fact, my great grandfather’s name is immortalized on the founders monument. Many of the settler’s traditions were brought over from the old country and remain in practice until this day. This is where my love for history began.

A Tijuana Local for 35 Years

Being a lover of adventure, I found myself traveling all over the U.S. until eventually settling in San Diego. This is where I met and married my beautiful Mexican wife and together we raised two children in her hometown of Tijuana. True to form, I quickly became captivated by the city’s rich history. From its inception as a cattle ranch and border crossing to a Hollywood playground during the prohibition era, from a "gringo" tourist destination to a mayor manufacturing hub. Tijuana has managed to captivate the imagination of the entire world for over 125 years. I look forward to showing you this city, the place I proudly call home.
